Vacancy Description:

We have an exciting opportunity available for an aspiring Health and Safety professional with construction experience to join a specialise Health and Safety Consultancy in London. This is a role requiring someone with a passion for H&S who has on site experience and wants to build on their skills in order to become a top Principal Designer.

The client have a great name for themselves in the London market, they are providing H&S consultancy services on current projects that are underway, the successful candidate can expect to find themselves working on projects ranging from £500k - £5bn in value on any given day!

The client are looking for someone who they can train, mentor and develop, you will initially be working alongside one of their senior members of staff and shown the ropes, eventually becoming a standalone H&S consultant who can operate in multiple sectors of construction.

Your roles and responsibililties will vary, but you can expect them to include:

- Performing the roles of Principal Designer / Client Advisor services including preparing Pre-Construction Information packs, DTM's, Workshops, Training, Reviewing CPP's, H&S Files etc.
- Supporting the development of safety strategies
- Providing quality assurance & compliance support to the clients
- Visiting sites, conducting audits and working alongside Principal Contractors to achieve compliance
- Providing H&S advice, guidance, training and support across the client base
- Advising and instructing clients in the use of their health and safety management system and other relevant procedures
- Advising clients on matters of Health & Safety standards, CDM 2015 compliance and best practice affecting their business
- Undertaking accident or other special investigations and liaising with Enforcing Authorities to assist the client as required

Experience / person requirements:

- Construction sector experience, you must have an understanding of how construction sites are managed and operated
- A willingness to learn new procedures
- Either already training towards, or wanting to train towards construction Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH / IOSH etc)
- CSCS qualified
- Happy to travel across London and the South East in order to visit client offices and construction sites
- A base knowledge of practical construction health and safety
