Vacancy Description:

Our client is a leading UK construction consultancy who work across multiple sectors, they are a household name in the industry and are a great company to work for. We have a fantastic role available for a Senior Project Manager to develop and deliver a complex refurbishment project for the NHS.

The successful candidate will be overseeing the detailed design process with the internal stakeholders in order to ensure that the project is matching the vision of the NHS Trust. They will also be responsible for developing a relocation programme within the trust in order to facilitate the construction works. Once all plans and designs are approved they will then take the project through to deliver on site.

Responsibilities for the role include:

- Pre and Post Contract Project Management Duties. End to end project management, taking the lead in initiating projects, commissioning required technical resource and coordinating all project activities.
- Detailed design development.
- Client Relationship Management.
- Presenting progress reports and cost plans to internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership of multidisciplinary design teams.
- Milestone planning for the projects.
- Contract administration.
- Engagement with senior members of the management team to raise the profile of the team and to foster a strong and integrated team culture.
- Leadership and performance management duties in respect of team structure, appraisals and career development within the wider team.

Essential Criteria

- PM experience in consultancy, the NHS or an end user within the healthcare sector.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary design and construction schemes
- Contract administraction experience
- Degree qualified in a construction related discipline.
- Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to motivate teams and work in close partnership with clients. Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate.
- Self motivated with positive can do attitude. Highly organised and excellent communicator.
